I should note that the client love my Prickly Pear Cactus painting and my Camelback Mountain painting and wanted me to incorporate part of them into her painting. She lives in a condo so I used that too in her painting. As a result, this painting turned out better than she expected and very colorful.

This painting was done as a thank you card. The image is a take off of the Footprints poem. It is 12" square, painted on the sides and signed front and back.

Here is the photo I worked from.
I was asked to paint this for a client who grew up there and had many fond memories of this location. He provided me with a small photo which I used as a reference. As you can see from the photo below, the colors are pretty much non-existant. We went over the colors and how I would create a more colorful and natural country painting that would be more pleasing to the eye.
This painting was done all in acrylic paint and was sealed with a clear, glossy varnish. The image extends to the sides. It is signed lower right and on the back. I used several sponges to created most of the foliage. That also creates some texture.
Aproximate turn around time was four weeks. Cost for something like this is $1100. The cost may also vary depending on the simplicity or complexity of the image. Contact me with your image and I'll give you a quote.

NEW! "Cleo and my Daughter" 12" x 12" x .5" - 2018
My daughter's cat, Cleo, passed suddenly on November 15, 2018.
She was devastated because of all her cats, she had a special bond with Cleo.
I worked from a photo to paint this painting (see below). My daughter took an amazing 700 photos of Cleo over the 9 years she had Cleo and had a book made with 250 photos.
I do accept commissions from time to time. Something like this I would charge $250.00
