Hello and welcome to my website. I'm Carol and I have been a free lance professional calligrapher and artist for the better part of 40 years. I love to paint and do calligraphy. I have enjoyed many awards over the years but today, I enjoy more just selling my work to people who love art. I do accept a commission from time to time, so keep that in mind. On these pages you will find miniature watercolors that I did for 25 years. Then lots of my calligraphy that I have been doing over the years. Lately or at least the past 9 years I have been painting in acrylics on canvas. Since I live in Arizona now and enjoy painting bold bright florals as well as whimsical southwestern images. As you browse through my pages below, I'm sure you'll find something you like. If you have a favorite flower you'd like to see me paint then email me a photo of it and I'll give some thought to painting it. If I use your photo I will post it beside the finished painting and mention that you sent me the photo. If you are looking for me to do a commission of it or similar to it then I will want to know the size you are interested in and I'll give you a quote on the cost. I put some of my painting up on EBAY from time to time at a discounted price. Be sure to check back and see below if I have any there. Just click on the words "Paintings on EBAY". That will take you directly to the page on EBAY that lists them all at that time. Almost all my acrylic paintings are done on a gallery wrapped canvas. And all my paintings whether watercolors or acrylic or an original calligraphy come with a Certificate of Authenticity and an Artist Bio. "Peach, Lavender, Red & Yellow Rose"
All are 16 x 20 inches on a gallery wrapped canvas, painted all sides in acrylic. The background on the Lavender Rose is done with black and lavender, mixed right on the canvas. The background on the Peach Rose is done with black and brilliant blue mixed right on the canvas. And, the Red Rose background is black and red mixed right on the canvas. I'm going to do a series of this rose but in different colors. The White is pre-sold so I'm working on the Pink which is almost done. I wanted to give people the option of picking 2 or 3 to make a grouping. They can be hung as shown below or if you have two or three then run them in a straight line like over a sofa, or bed. I also want to do one with a long stem on a 12 x 24 in canvas. You can see a larger picture of the finished painting on my "Acrylics 2011" page.
Price for each is $450. Buy two and I'll take 20% off the total price. A sale is always appreciated!
