The Graceful Envelope Contest 2008-Washington DC

This year's theme is "C's" the Day - Anything beginning with a "C" may be used to decorate your envelope. You  must incorporate the stamp design into the overall design of your entry. This stamp is for the Chinese New Year, showing lanterns. The design goes around to the back but on the "front" is judged. Although you can't see it here, each lantern has some orange iridescent paint on them. It give them an interesting depth. To see the entries for past years go to http://calligraphersguild.org
