ACRYLICS ON CANVAS
I love to work in miniature but in my attempt to work larger, I have created some floral paintings that are 24 X 24 inches. I've used acrylics on and off in the past and from time to time I find myself going back to them to break the watercolor habit!
These paintings are in bright vivid colors on stretched canvas. They are ready for framing one whatever you decided on. The depth of the stretcher bar is 1/2 inch to 1 inch deep.

NIGHT BLOOMING CACTUS-36 x 36 - Large!
I finally finished this painting. I turned out great. The petals of the flowers have a thick edge of paint defining them and giving them a 3-D look so they play with the light and shadows. As soon as I have this archived I will be offering it in two sizes as a Limited Edition GiClee. Original Price is $6200.00 The GiClee same size price is $2065.00 and the GiClee size 48 x 48 price is: $2746.00
I will also offer it as a 24 x 24 inch size as a GiClee at a price of $1385.00
NIGHT BLOOMING CACTI-9 x 12
This is a small painting on a 9 x 12 canvas board. Again all the petals of the blossoms have a heavy ridge of paint to give them a three dimensional effect. I liked this so much that I'm now painting a very large version of this painting on a 36 inch square canvas.

"RIBBON ORCHID"

This bright and cheerful acrylic painting is on a gallery wrapped canvas. Many of the ribbon like petals are edged with heavier paint to create a 3-D look for the viewer. This piece is painted on the sides so it doesn't have to be framed. Size: 36 in. H x 36 in. W x 1 1/2 in. D.

"PALM DESERT"
this was a study for the purpose of doing a very large painting in this style. The upper background is textured heavily with molding paste then I painted over it. The lower 1/3 of the painting is also textured but not as heavy. I want to paint a large painting based on this one but the size will be 48 x 36. This is an acrylic on a gallery wrapped canvas ready to hand.

The white branches also done with a knife have gold dots for a festive look. This painting is sitting against a stucco wall, that is what you see around the painting.

"White Roses"

If you look closely, you'll see that the petals of the roses are raised to give the flowers a raised effect. I know this is not the best photo, but I hope I can get a better one on here soon. At least you can get an idea of what this looks like.

"Orange Tiger Lilies"
Although I am still working on this painting... I just had to put it up. This vertical is 3 x 2 ft. on a gallery wrapped canvas with a soft creamy yellow background... and is very striking with the flowers bright orange and pink. I just have to paint in the stamens and she is done. The flower petals have raised edges as well a the dark part of the leaves. This picture does NOT do it justice.
